Musical instruments

There are five main groups of musical instruments. They are stringed instruments, wind instruments, percussion instruments, keyboard instruments, and electronic instruments.

Stringed instruments make tones when the player makes one or more string vibrate. The violin, cello, and guitar are stringed instruments.

Wind instruments are played by blowing into or thought a tube. The player controls the sound by placing the fingers on holes in the instruments or on keys that cover holes, or by pressing valves that make the tube longer or shorter. The flute, trumpet and saxophone are wind instruments.

Percussion instruments have keys connected with a part that makes tones. The musician presses the keys to make sounds. The piano, harp, gong, kettle drums, and pipe organ are keyboards instrument (percussion instruments).

Electronic instruments use electricity to make sounds or to make the sounds louder. Electric guitars, synthesizers, electronic piano, and electronic organs are electronic instruments

The legend of mount wayang

Long….. long ago, when the gods and goddesses used to mingle in the affairs of mortals, there was a small kingdom on the slope of mount wayang in west java. The king is name Sang Prabu, was a wise man. He had an only daughter, called princess Teja Nirmala. Who was famous for the beauty but she was not married. One day Sang Prabu made up his mind to settle the matter by a show of strenghth.

After that, Prince of Blambangan, named Raden Begawan had won the competition. Unfortunately, the wicked fairy but princess Segara fell in love with Raden Begawan and used magic power to render him unconscious and he forgot his wedding. When Sang Prabu was searching, Raden Begawan saw him and soon realized that he had been enhanced by the wicked fairy. The fairy could not accept this, so she killed Raden Begawan. When princess Teja Nirmala heard this, she was very bad. So a nice fairy took her to the Kahyangan.

The story goes that on certain moonlight nights, one can hear the sound of music in the air above from the top of the mountain. It indicates that Sang Prabu and his daughter have not met each other till dawn when it is time for them to part and to meet again on another moonlight night.

"Tsunami in Japan"
( Friday, March 11/2011)

Some 10,000 residents in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan declared missing. Now the Japanese government continues to look for half the city population was affected after the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan. "About 10,000 people still missing in the port city Minamisanriku, in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan, earthquake and tsunami that hit," reported public broadcaster NHK reporters, AFP quoted as saying by the AFP on Saturday (03/12/2011).
According to information compiled by AFP from the Kyodo News Agency, Miyagi Prefecture population of around 17,000 people. The amount is more than half the population in the coastal areas affected by the tsunami.
The same thing was broadcast by CNN on the CNN Breaking News at 20:45 GMT, Saturday (03/12/2011), broadcast that the Government of Japan through a joint search and rescue team was looking out the existence of such resident. The earthquake in Japan occurred at 12:46 GMT, Friday (11 / 3) yesterday, centered 373 km northeast.
